The Rio Blanco County Commissioners recently approved a letter to the state regarding Rio Blanco County's plans to make decisions regarding re-opening at a local level.
The letter requests exclusion from Executive Order 2020-017, the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE Order 20-22), and CDPHE Order 20-24 (the “State Orders”). The letter states that Rio Blanco County will proceed to implement its own reopening plan; restoring the balance between community health and our economy in the manner and time frame that best meets the needs of the county.
The letter includes details of the guidelines and plan developed by the Rio Blanco County Public Health Department with recommendations specific to Rio Blanco County. It also includes letters of support from both RBC hospitals. The letter has been officially submitted to both Governor Polis' office as well as to the Director of the Colorado Department of Public Health.
